Schema Markup

Structured data vocabulary (typically JSON-LD) added to web pages to help search engines and AI systems understand content meaning and relationships.

Schema markup is a structured data vocabulary used to annotate web content so that search engines and AI retrieval systems can parse it programmatically. Key schema types for answer engine optimization include FAQPage (which increases citation likelihood by 3.2x), HowTo, Article, Organization, Person, and Speakable. Schema is implemented using JSON-LD format and helps AI systems identify authorship, publication dates, entity relationships, and content structure.
