Impression
A count registered each time a URL or property appears in search results, with the counting method varying by GSC's aggregation mode.
In Google Search Console, an impression is recorded when a URL appears in a search result that a user could potentially see, even if the result isn't scrolled into view. The count changes depending on aggregation mode: property-level aggregation deduplicates multiple URLs from the same domain appearing for one query (counting as 1 impression), while URL-level aggregation counts each appearance separately. AI Overviews have further complicated impression counting by generating additional impression events without corresponding clicks.
